Foreign Tourists Arrivals to Bali for December 2019
Bali statistics center recorded 552,403 visits of foreign tourists in December 2019. 544,726 of them arrived through I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport and 7,677 arrived through the seaport.
The number of foreign tourists visits in December 2019 rose by 10.94% in comparison with the records in November 2019. And rose by 10.74% in comparison with the results of December 2018.
The biggest groups of foreign tourists were the guests from Australia - 20.40%, China - 14.66%, India - 7.20%, the United States - 4.70%, Singapore - 4.58%, United Kingdom - 4.31%, Malaysia 4.25%, South Korea 3.88%, Japan 3.65%, and Russia 3.49%.
The highest increase was recorded on tourists from Singapore ( 64.09%), followed by tourists from Russia (31.93%).
In comparison with December 2018, eight of the top ten countries recorded an increase, with the highest increase recorded with foreign tourists from South Korea (53.34%).
Meanwhile, foreign tourists who recorded a decline were from Japan (-11.29%), and Malaysia (-3.02%).
In January-December 2019 6,275,210 foreign tourists visited Bali directly, more than in January-December 2018 by 3.37 percent%.
Foreign tourists visiting Bali during 2019 were dominated by tourists from Australia 19.78%, China 18.90%, India 5.96%, United Kingdom 4.58%, United States 4.41%, Japan 4.11%, South Korea 3.40%, France 3.30%, Germany 3.14%, and Malaysia 2.95%.
South Korea was recorded as the country with the highest increase in the number of foreign tourists during 2019 compared to 2018, which rose by 48.60%. While tourists from China recorded the biggest decline compared to the same period of the previous year which was as deep as -12.89%.
Room occupancy rate (TPK) of starred hotels in December 2019 was 62.55%, 3.10% up compared to the previous month's (November 2019) TPK which was recorded at 59.46%. In comparison with December 2018, the occupancy rate increased by 4.93%.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in Bali in December 2019 was 2.75 days, 0.04% up in comparison with the average length of stay in November 2019 that was 2.71 days. In comparison with December 2018, the length of stay decreased by -0.06%.
