More than 10,000 Chinese Tourists Cancelled Visits to Bali
Due to the outbreak of the corona virus in Wuhan City in China, many airlines have temporarily closed flights to and from China. As a result, more than 10,000 Chinese tourists canceled their vacations to Bali.
This was acknowledged by the Chairman of the DPP Chinese Committee Asita Hery Sudiarto. He said, after the outbreak of the corona virus in Wuhan, the Chinese Government had issued an appeal letter so that its citizens would not travel. This was followed by airlines' efforts to temporarily close flight routes from China to Indonesia and vice versa from Indonesia to China.
He explained, the temporary closure of flights to China caused more than 10 thousand Chinese tourists to cancel to Bali. "This figure makes sense because in previous years during the Lunar holiday period Bali was visited by above 20 thousand Chinese tourists," he said.
There are still around 4,000 Chinese tourists who are still in Bali.
