Tourist Arrivals During the First 12 Days of March
Travel agents and guides in Bali claim to have received travel lots of cancellations from foreign residents. Among the reasons are the cancellation of transport communications and the fear of the Coronavirus which has spread to several countries.
Based on data from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Bali Regional Office, from 1 to 12 March 2020, Bali accepted 114,104 foreign citizens (foreigners) from 165 countries.
Most of these foreign tourists came through Ngurah Rai Airport, namely 113,079 people.
The Public Relations director of Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Putu Surya Candra explained that there were 1,025 foreigners entering Bali by sea, namely through Benoa Harbor.
The tourists that came to Bali in March were dominated by the guests from Australia (29 883 people), Russia (6 789 people), Britain (6 739 people), India (6 421 people), Japan (5 871 people), Germany (5 347 people), Malaysia (4 115 people), France (3 987 people) and Holland (2 704 people).
Until March 12, 114 foreigners from 38 countries had been refused to enter Bali. Their main origins were from Russia, the USA, and Ukraine.
